The 'client' for the purpose of this project was Avalanche, a New Zealand brand offering coffee products and sachets. They require a 'sustainability update' to attract a new demographic of eco-conscious consumers who partake in minimising their waste consumption.

In order for the packaging, both box and sachets, to be fully biodegradable, many aspects had to be taken in to consideration, such as the inks, substrate and adhesive, as well as the material used for the sachet. This impacted the overall design considerably, and therefore a minimalistic design approach was taken. It was also important to consider maintaining the popular NZ brand's existing identity.

This project helped me to develop my technical knowledge of die-lines as I was required to produce a production-ready document.
