This assignment required the creation of a brand identity and a subsequent brand guidelines document for a boutique retail business.

The project scenario I created is as follows:
"Malibu Groove, a new Australian surf apparel and beachwear company, have decided to open up stores throughout New Zealand in time for the NZ summer. They therefore require a brand identity targeted towards surf and beach enthusiasts.

The client aims to fill a gap in the market by offering distinctive retro-style beachwear and surf apparel, setting itself apart from existing surf/beachwear brands. Malibu Groove will evoke a sense of nostalgia, capturing the essence of the retro era and its beach aesthetic. Malibu Groove's mission statement is "to celebrate the individuality and confidence of every beach and surf enthusiast"."

This project helped to develop my technical skills of Procreate and Adobe Illustrator.
